Former [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Destiny’s Child[/lastfm] singer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kelly Rowland[/lastfm] is currently enjoying a hit single on the charts with her song “Motivation” featuring [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lil Wayne[/lastfm]. But someone from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beyonce[/lastfm]‘s camp has to have a problem with it.
WHY? Why can’t Beyonce and Kelly shine simultaneously?
Super producer Jeff Bhasker doesn’t feel that way, as he had some choice words for Kelly’s new single.
No really, he did.
I’m sure you’re all aware by now that Kelly has had several hit singles (I know y’all remember “Dilemma” from back in the day with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nelly[/lastfm]) but never a hit album, so I’m personally hoping that the third time is a charm. It is just DAYS until the release Kelly’s hotly anticipated new album, Here I Am (OMG!), and you would think that her timing is perfect. Her single, “Motivation” featuring Weezy F. Baby (which is my JAM!), has already went to the top of the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B charts, giving her her first solo number one as a lead artist. However, someone from Beyonce’s camp is not so motivated by Rowland’s “Motivation.”

Producer Jeff Bhasker, who has worked with superstars like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Alicia Keys[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kanye West[/lastfm], clearly isn’t a fan of the song as he tweeted a series of disapproving comments yesterday:

I just listened to Motivation again to see if I was to harsh in my critique. I wasn't. The lyrics are horrid as well.—

While Weezy’s verse on this track is dope, he is NOT the sole reason why this song is a hit, JEFF! Weezy’s era of “Hey let’s throw him on a song and it’ll be a hit” was so 2009… it’s [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm]‘s turn now.
I don’t think Beyonce will be too happy about you dissin’ her homegirl. Didn’t momma tell you that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it? RUDE.
