Last week MTV2 premiered a new Wale featuring Big Sean video for “Slight Work.” What many didn’t realize it that it was also the directoral debut of Chris Brown. The video is brightly hued, filled with graffiti and dancing. A behind the scenes video shows Brown with Godfrey Tabaraz, a well-known music video director who helmed Brown’s on “N***** In Paris” freestyle clip. Brown says, “Basically the concept is we just want to be young and fresh, you know.”

MTV News talked to Wale back in December when shooting began. He told them, ”Me reaching out to Chris is bigger than me reaching out to a homeboy, it’s me reaching out to an aspiring director. I think a lot of people put a lot of us into one box and don’t know we have other passions. I wasn’t surprised, a guy that creative and that talented, I’m sure he has other things that he wants to do.”
Big Sean previously collaborated with Brown, who guested on his hit track “My Last.”
Wale has a history of interesting collaborations, including getting Lady Gaga as a guest on his song, “Chillin.”
