Wednesday marked the 10 year anniversary of the death of TLC‘s Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. In the wake of a highly successful Tupac appearance via hologram at Coachella, the group has announced they will be touring this summer, bringing Left Eye with them!
Left Eye passed away in 2002 during a rollover car accident in Honduras. Other than an extremely memorable American Idol performance last year, TLC has been a relatively quiet group since the passing of Lopes. Just announced yesterday, the group is planning a tour, with 5 major cities already in the books.
As of now there is no word saying in what capacity Lopes will appear; whether she’ll show in hologram form like Tupac, or if she’ll just be projected upon a screen. At this point it all comes down to budget, but the other members of the group (Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas) are very excited to pay tribute to their friend. Lisa “Left Eye Lopes passed away at the age of 30.
