Some people are calling Nicki Minaj‘s new video, ‘Pound the Alarm’, filmed in her native Trinidad, ‘Starships’ part two, but you decide for yourself. From Nicki’s platinum selling album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, ‘PTA’, shows off the beauty of Trinidad.

As Nicki was being nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards, – Best Hip-Hop Video (“Beez in the Trap”), Best Female Video (“Starships”), and Best Visual Effects (“Turn Me On”), earlier, Tuesday morning, she was prepping her video to drop, which was released a few hours later.

One of the high-lights of the ‘Pound The Alarm’ video, which was directed by Benny Boom, is the visual tour of Port of Spain, Trinidad, almost like a piece for the tourism bureau. Then a carnival scene erupts into a parade of dancing and partying with sexy costumes.
