Wonder Woman Artist Leaves Book Over Controversy

Looks like you can have one of the coolest jobs ever, and still have people mess with you so much you end up walking away from it.

Longtime comic book artist Frank Cho, has apparently walked away from his Wonder Woman cover gig. . That’s right, his job was to create covers for the Wonder Woman comic book.

Infamous in the online for his “outrage” sketch covers, both parodying sexism and criticism of sexism, this was a controversial choice, with many expressing their disappointment.

It seems as if he and writer Greg Rucka have been going back and forth as to how Frank has been portraying the Amazon Princess. It came down to how they cropped the cover for issue 3 I’ve read. Greg though the cover was vulgar and showed too much skin, which is kinda crazy since she’s a woman who basically fights crime in a swimsuit.

I’ve seen said cover, and it doesn’t seem bad at all. i think there’s more to it. You can check the first 3 covers he drew HERE, and tell me what you think.

And, here’s some bonus art for you. A Wonder Woman drawing I did  a few years back. Hope you enjoy!
