Wiz Khalifa’s new capsule clothing line “BASH” has a unique twist: It’s a range of clothes for fathers and young sons, ensuring that dads and kids can hang out together in style. Wiz partnered with L.A.-based Junk Food Clothing and said three-year-old Sebastian, his son with ex Amber Rose, was the inspiration for its creative direction.
“All the designs are based around Sebastian — all of his hobbies and the things that he’s into. I just really wanted it to feel personal to him, so when he sees it, he gets excited,” Wiz tells People.
The rapper added that kids (with their various interests and hobbies) shouldn’t feel left out of the fashion game.
“He’s three years old, so he might not understand the concept of having his own clothing line,” he added. “But the fact that all of his favorite things are all over his clothes, it makes him feel special; it makes him entertained by what he’s wearing.”
Certain items in the collection even arrived just in time for October.
“My favorite piece was probably the pumpkin sock because he loves pumpkins so much,” said Wiz. “He’s really into Halloween and spooky things, and the fact that we were able to pull off a pumpkin design was really cool.”
The toddler’s sartorial sensibility has earned Khalifa and Rose compliments, so it was just a matter of time until Sebastian (“Bash” for short) went into the fashion business for himself.
“I shop with him a lot, and we match often,” Khalifa said. “He’s definitely got my sense of style. Everybody tells me how fresh he usually looks, from store-bought stuff, so we’re making his own stuff now.”
BASH launches for a limited time on October 15 and can be purchased through the Junk Food Clothing website.
